Who Is Photizo® Pain Relief Suitable For?

This device is designed for people seeking relief from long-term medical conditions that may not heal or repair easily, as well as those recovering from injuries or managing ongoing pain.

Medical CE Certification and Safety

Both the Photizo Pain Relief and Photizo Sport devices carry Medical CE certification, confirming that they meet the General Safety and Performance Requirements (GSPR) of the relevant European Medical Device Regulations.

This means they can legally be classified and sold as medical devices within the European Union and are designed for safe, regular home use when used as directed.

The Photizo Pain Relief comes with a charger and an easy-to-follow user guide with step-by-step instructions.

How Does LED Red Light Therapy Work?

Photizo Pain Relief uses red and near-infrared LED light to stimulate cellular activity, accelerating the body’s natural healing processes and providing drug-free pain management for degenerative conditions such as arthritis. The dosage of near-infrared light is the key as to the effect it has on the body. Long doses penetrate further into the body and are able to be picked up by the cells in the blood, leading to deeper healing effects. The Photizo Pain Relief has a dose of 8 joules that is ideal for alleviating pain.

Please note, this is not a laser device.

Cellular energy and healing

When an injury occurs, damaged cells require increased energy to prevent cell death. Often, these cells are unable to produce enough ATP (adenosine triphosphate) to heal effectively.

Applying the correct wavelength of pulsed red & near-infrared light encourages the mitochondria within damaged cells to produce sufficient energy, allowing cells to function and heal more effectively.

Proven biological effects of red and infrared light

From numerous clinical and scientific studies, red and infrared light has been shown to:

  • Increase energy in cells (ATP production in the mitochondria)
  • Improve circulation
  • Increase cell regeneration
  • Reduce inflammation and increase lymphatic activity
  • Support immune system activity
  • Help regulate collagen production, reducing scarring
  • Provide pain relief and calming by increasing endorphins and serotonin

Dose and Treatment Time

The dosage of near-infrared light is key to its effect on the body.

Photizo Pain Relief delivers a pre-programmed dose of 8 joules, which is ideal for alleviating pain.
Each dose lasts 41 seconds, and the treatment head is moved over the affected area until the entire area has been covered.

Many users report pain relief within a few minutes of use, with daily treatments taking only a few minutes.

Why Choose Photizo® Pain Relief?

There are now many red light therapy devices on the market, but one size does not fit all.

All Photizo devices are manufactured in South Africa and were developed through research to ensure the timed dose, wavelength and pulsed red and infrared output work together correctly.

The Sport and Vetcare devices are technically similar, with the human versions created specifically to achieve Medical CE certification for human use.
